Yo. So I'm Pretty new here, and haven't really gotten the hang of things.. So, it'd be aweeesome if some people could leave comments on my journal teelling me how to do these things:
- post sets of icons on my journal.
-do the 'fake cut' things to post tutorials. (i don't really wanna just use my regular journal posts).

if you help, you deserve lots of good chocolate or if you don't like chocolate, first you are weird, second then you can feel like you deserve lots and lots of something you particularly like.

   Really bored right now, waiting to go to a party.... I've been meaning to post this for a while but haven't gotten to it.. Very excited, just found out that The Academy Is.. is playing on the Warped Tour this summer. *SQUEE*. Anyway....... 

Make some pretttttyyyyy icons like these:                

Image would work be best off if it was of Hayley William's amazing hair. (Seriously, no one else's hair color can compete with hers.) This tutorial enhances the reds and gives a nice cyan coloring too.


Ok so start off with your base, cropped and sharpened to how you like it. For the first example, I really wanted to bring out her hair so I sharpened it twice. 

From there, add a new blank layer and fill it with 000025 set to Exclusion at 100% opacity.

Layer  > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color : 
Reds; -100, 0, +100, 0
Cyans; -100, -50, -35, 44
Whites; 0, 0, 0, -15

New layer, filled with A3E6FF and set to soft light. (Opacity should be between 70% and 100%, depends on your image and taste.)

Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color:
Reds; -42, 0, 0, 0
Cyans; -34, +50, -44, +27

Duplicate the exclusion layer and bring it to the top of the layers.

Here's where the magic happens: Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer:
Red; 165, -80, 10

Final layer: Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color:
Blues; +15, -43, +42, 0
Whites; 0, 0, 0, -61

And done! Feel free to use the examples, just credit and notify me!

 Sounds pretty mean. Even though I have the tendency to be mean, I'm talking about making someone cry WITHOUT them knowing. *SHH*
Using Photoshop you can make someone you love (or hate) shed some tears. Obviously this won't be as realistic as the real thing but at least you don't end up looking like a jerk.

So basically turn this into . Hey, just because I eternally love TAI and William Beckett doesn't mean I can't make him cry. Plus it was fun. Eeek.

     Do the usual stuff : crop, resize, sharpen, etc. Center cropping will not work if you want to add ANY text.

 Desaturate and increase the contrast using selective color, brightness/contrast, whatever works.

  Now for the fun stuff:  On a new layer, use a blood brush or tear brush of any kind, as long as it fits and has a running-tear shape.  Blur the bottom of it to make it look a bit more realistic.

   Set the teardrop layer to screen. Don't worry, it'll show up soon. Go to Layer Style, click on Bevel and Emboss: Inner Bevel, Depth between 50% and 100% (always depends on image) and  size to 5.

  There you have it! I added some text, do with it what you like. The great thing about this tut is you could possibly make yourself happy by making an enemy cry without a possibly bad result. Ah, the magic of Photoshop CS.
